I updated the System Information page and I've done some modifications to the forum, also it's been running all night without any problems from the new server. Also, my new server has some new capabilities that I will be implementing within the next few weeks, and I'm going to try to get some sort of real blog software for the main page, just to make it easier for me to update it.

has a Shiny new forum and supposedly won't go off-line randomly anymore and will be able to do a lot more than the old one could ever hope to do, at least with what I knew how to do at the time. Welcome to the future!
also, the read posts and reply links on old news entries don't work anymore, but from here on out they will.

So, is this the end?
The forum is corrupted and hopelessly fucked up beyond repair, all the user accounts, all the posts are lost. The server is on it's last leg and there is nothing I can do to fix it. BUT FEAR NOT. I am building a new server, a Windows server, from the ground up, guaranteed to be more stable, fast and better than ever. I will have a different forum software, and a better user interface. I have a 4-day weekend this weekend so I should have it running by Monday. In the meantime, the rest of the website works just fine, feel free to go to the chat I will try to be there when I am working on the new system.

I fucked my forum up again.
and the last backup I made was on the 18th. I am going to try to fix it, if not, please go through your history and try to save what you can, I would like to rebuild it as much as possible. More updates will come as soon as I can get them, I' at school now and I'm supposed to be taking a test, but this is far more important. I don't have the slightest clue what's going on with the test and will probably fail it anyway.

Has an LCARS color scheme It's just on the main page for now, as a trial. I quite like it. The forum will never change, at least not until I learn PHP. The next thing I plan on doing is updating the top navigation links with something a bit nicer and more advanced and also have them common to every page. I do not know when I will do this.

May 3, 2010 News, because there hasn't been much lately. The temporary fix mentioned below seems to have made the server more stable than before and the odd noises seemed to have stopped. News from before March 23rd has been archived here in a new section for News Archives from Floyd's Website. Also, I need a better website introduction thing for the top of this page, suggestions can be posted in the forum topic.
And in other news... Exclaim! Bane and Strike Anywhere Contest In a recent post on their twitter page Strike anywhere posted the following: Who likes Skateboards? http://exclaim.ca/contests/ContestEntry.aspx?fid2=574 http://bit.ly/b3V6hlApparently, Exclaim! (some organization I have have never heard of before now) and Strike Anywhere are having a contest to win tickets to one of their Canadian shows and a skateboard deck. There was this video on the site, which says that you can see Strike Anywhere answer "real questions" at exclaim.ca I looked on the site but didn't see anything, at least not yet. and yet again, I must ask, WHAT THE FUCK IS SO APPEALING ABOUT BOUNCY CASTLES!!!??? |
